When it is hot in August, Perry Hill plants lettuce leaves in his helmet to help stay cool while coaching first base for the Miami Marlins.

We all know that summer heat in the south can be overwhelming. Perry Hill uses an old trick that Pete Rose once used to help stay cool. He takes wet lettuce leaves and puts them in his helmet before he goes out to coach first base for the Miami Marlins. No school like the old school.
